Grand Finale By 21 Designers | Fall/Winter 2019/20 | India Fashion Week

If there was one place in Delhi, you needed to be last night, this was the end of Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week. How much! We are still recovering from it. Twenty-one designers and six Guardians of 21 yards statements! From Anita Dongre to Gorau Gupta, from Anila to Rohit Bal - all the designers were there. Diana Panetti opened the show in a classic black and gold saree that we hear was borrowed from her mother's closet. Then, it had to go for some designer reality!

Since the theme of the grand finale was translating the classic six yards, there was plenty of room for experience and fun - for which we were thanked. Some of them deserve special mention, because we couldn't help but get a 'wow' from our seats! For starters, the white and ivory-colored Anvilla sarees looked like some kind of 90's baby wear sarees. Lightweight, easy-to-drop, and boxy blouse. Then there were some Anita Dongri beauties who stole our hearts once again. The sheer organza blouse with bell sleeves and classic colored black and gold embroidered saris touched the evening royally. In terms of being wearable, the three stripes of the Arvoshi cover looked the same when you set out on a leisurely journey when the sun has set and your day is very slow. Still very angry despite the layering and experimental dropping. We also saw a long hoodie jacket that we wanted to steal.
